Verify every visit with confidence
Capture Electronic Visit Verification data in real time, reduce exceptions, and connect your EVV system to caregiver management, care delivery, and reimbursement workflows.
EVV compliance software that reduces operational risk
EVV (electronic visit verification) problems rarely end with the visit itself. A missed clock-in, an incomplete visit, a GPS mismatch, or an unreconciled schedule change each triggers manual follow-up, billing delays, and compliance risk. The pressure lands on a back-office team that’s already stretched thin.
Everything your back-office team needs, all in one place
AlayaCare is the top EVV software solution for home care agencies. AlayaCare gives home care providers one place to run EVV across every state where they deliver care. Embed EVV into your daily workflows across all states. Capture compliant visit data and resolve exceptions before they put reimbursement at risk, all in one connected process.
Give field staff caregiver-friendly mobile workflows for clocking in and out and documenting each visit. GPS-enabled verification and IVR support help your team capture accurate visit data, and offline functionality keeps clock-ins working in low-connectivity areas without adding friction at the point of care.
Meet EVV requirements across all US states with workflows designed to capture required visit details and support state and payor-specific rules. Operate with confidence in a provider-first environment built to help your team manage the operational side of EVV. AlayaCare supports agencies with an EVV system designed for state Medicaid programs and federal requirements, and it adapts as EVV compliance rules evolve. Under the 21st Century Cures Act, states must implement EVV for Medicaid personal care and home health services that require an in-home visit, according to CMS electronic visit verification guidance. As outlined in the CMS EVV frequently asked questions, the EVV system must be able to electronically verify six details for each visit. Those are the type of service, the client receiving it, the date, the location, the caregiver providing it, and when the visit began and ended.
Surface missing and inconsistent EVV events early so your team can investigate and resolve them before they create downstream reimbursement problems. Connect EVV data to your state EVV aggregator and to caregiver management workflows across the AlayaCare platform to improve service delivery.
Give leadership a clearer view of EVV completion rates, exception trends, branch-level risk, and operational bottlenecks before they turn into claim holds or corrective action.
AlayaCare’s EVV capabilities run on HIPAA-compliant APIs, so healthcare technology companies can connect visit verification data to the EMRs, billing systems, payer systems, and workforce platforms they already operate.
AlayaCare Connector is a no-code integration layer that connects to hundreds of apps or any API. Healthcare technology companies can move EVV visit data and compliance records between systems without custom development for each connection.
Through our integration network, AlayaCare already connects to partners across clinical compliance, workforce management, payments, and referral management, including Forcura, Relias, Element5, Viventium, and Nevvon. Each integration moves EVV and visit data automatically, so platforms that plug into AlayaCare inherit that compliance data without rebuilding it.
Give your billing, finance, and accounts receivable team the tools to automate time-consuming, manual tasks so they can focus on the challenges that actually move the business forward. Billing Agent builds on your existing revenue cycle management foundation with streamlined EVV exception resolution and simplified unpaid claim follow-up, so your team spends less time in escalations and more time driving growth.

How EVV requirements differ by state
Federal rules set the baseline, and each state builds its own EVV program on top of it. The CMS informational bulletin on EVV describes five major EVV system models implemented by states. As a result, the EVV system a provider must work with, and the aggregator it reports to, can differ from state to state. Four state programs show how far these choices can diverge:
- Michigan‘s open model uses the HHAeXchange aggregator and, since Apr 1, 2026, an 85% auto-verified threshold per quarter, per payer.
- Arizona‘s AHCCCS has run its own EVV aggregator since Oct 1, 2025, and lists AlayaCare as an official alternate EVV vendor.
- New York‘s open model sends visit data through HHAeXchange and eMedNY.
- Texas‘s hybrid model uses the TMHP aggregator.
State programs also face federal scrutiny. In July 2026, the HHS Office of Inspector General published its OIG audit of Colorado’s EVV for personal care services. OIG found that Colorado implemented an EVV system but did not verify that all personal care visits were recorded and verified in that system.

Schedule 24/7, improve care delivery, and eliminate visit verification errors while de-risking your business operation with agents built for home-based care.
The best EVV software does more than verify visits. It connects electronic visit verification to scheduling, documentation, billing, and payroll so home care agencies can reduce write-offs, protect authorized hours, and keep claims moving.
AlayaCare combines a GPS-enabled mobile EVV system, IVR support, offline capture, real-time schedule updates, and QA rules in one platform instead of forcing agencies to bolt EVV onto separate tools.
An EVV aggregator is the state system that collects EVV data and compares it to billed claims, so agencies need an EVV compliance software setup that captures required visit details accurately and sends them in the right format.
AlayaCare supports EVV across different state Medicaid programs and models by pairing mobile visit capture with state-specific workflows, aggregator connectivity, audit-ready records, and broader operational controls.
Beyond federal requirements, EVV compliance software helps agencies replace paper processes, reduce manual follow-up, improve visit accuracy, and strengthen patient care by making verification part of the daily care delivery workflow.
AlayaCare helps home care teams use EVV software for home settings by linking electronic visit verification, caregiver management, and exception resolution in a single workflow.
EVV (electronic visit verification) software for home care is a digital system that captures proof of care delivery. It verifies caregiver identity, the client’s location, service type, and visit start and end times, then transmits that data to state Medicaid aggregators to meet federal EVV mandate requirements under the 21st Century Cures Act.
Yes. AlayaCare captures each caregiver’s location at the client’s home when they clock in and clock out. With AlayaCare’s mobile app, caregivers can clock in and out only when they are within the approved radius of the client’s home during the scheduled visit. Your team controls the GPS capture and geofencing rules.
A modern EVV platform such as AlayaCare can help reduce visit exceptions by capturing verification data in real time, surfacing issues earlier and auto-resolves exceptions before they hit billing. With integrated exception reporting and resolution workflows, agencies can resolve gaps faster and keep billing moving.
