AlayaCare Launches Built-in Secure Messaging Feature for Home-based Care Providers


The all-new feature promotes increased collaboration, transparency, and connectivity amongst care staff with end-to-end encryption for data protection and compliance with health information privacy laws.

RICHMOND HILL, N.Y. – July 12, 2022AlayaCare, leading global home care software, today announced the release of Secure Messaging. Available on both AlayaCare web and mobile applications, the new feature allows back-office staff and care teams to communicate and exchange important information securely and in real-time.

Ensuring compliance with health information privacy acts is critical when using messaging applications by home care employees. Failure to comply with such regulations can carry severe penalties in the form of fines. The AlayaCare Secure Messaging feature allows for PHI data residency capability, control of client information storage, and is secured through TLS and AES256 encryption; making the feature compliant under HIPAA as well as Canadian PIPEDA and the Australian Privacy Act of 1988.
