Executive team
Adrian Schauer
Adrian Schauer is the founder and CEO of AlayaCare, a home healthcare software scale-up delivering the next disruptive solution for the global home-based care market. Adrian is a serial technology entrepreneur having built two successful mobile software companies; both achieving leadership positions in their respective markets. Adrian is an active Angel Investor and sits on the boards of several tech start-ups. Adrian is also the co-founder of the Madiro Fund, a non-profit organization created to support innovative solutions to the health problems in low income countries.
Andrew McDonald
Andrew McDonald has over 20 years of experience leading innovative product teams that break into new markets, beat the competition, and delight customers. He has been part of a successful exit of a venture-backed startup and multiple enterprise software businesses that have grown rapidly and profitably past the $300M revenue mark. He comes to AlayaCare, having most recently held senior positions at Alcatel-Lucent, CENX, and Kinaxis where he was the Chief Product Officer.
An avid hockey player, Andrew holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Waterloo.
Aleem Bhanji
Aleem Bhanji is a senior leader at AlayaCare, adjunct faculty at the University of Toronto and National Health Fellow. With over 20 years of experience in executive leadership, digital health strategy, and project execution, Aleem currently serves as the Market Lead for AlayaCare’s Canadian market. This means that Aleem is responsible for developing AlayaCare’s Canadian strategy and aligning the company’s internal teams to meet the needs of its customers today and into the future, based on healthcare trends and technological advances. In a voluntary capacity, Aleem has been involved with non-profit organizations, serving as a director on various Boards for over two decades. He also volunteers his time and efforts in establishing primary home-based care programs throughout Tanzania, Kenya, and Uganda.
Annette Hili
Annette Hili leads AlayaCare’s Australia and New Zealand operations. She brings more than 23 years of experience in the aged care industry, holding numerous positions, including COO of BaptistCare NSW – Australia’s leading and most respected home, community and residential aged care provider, with over 3,500 employees and 160 offices. There she oversaw the operational activities of the organisation and led the company’s strategy and growth.
In her role as AlayaCare General Manager ANZ, Annette leads the growth strategy of the ANZ operations, focusing on delivering better client care and experiences and leveraging data to drive improved outcomes.
Geoff Darling
Geoff Darling is happiest at the intersection of business and innovative technology with a higher purpose. As AlayaCare’s CRO, he leads the global revenue organization, overseeing go-to-market functions across sales, marketing, account management, and our partner network. He is passionate about leveraging technology to transform the future of home care by fostering partnerships with customers and stakeholders. Having been an early believer in AlayaCare’s mission, Geoff formally joined in 2022, bringing a diverse background spanning two decades of technology and finance experience.
Isaac Alexander
Isaac Alexander is Chief Product & Software Architect at AlayaCare, responsible for leading the company’s technology and product architecture strategy. With nearly 30 years of experience building enterprise software in the home and community care sector, Isaac brings deep domain expertise to every layer of the platform. Early in his career, he was the founding developer of one of the industry’s original enterprise platforms, Procura, helping lay the foundation for modern home care technology.
At AlayaCare, Isaac leads architectural strategy across the full platform, providing technical leadership through all stages of the product lifecycle. He guides cross-functional teams on performance, scalability, extensibility, and cloud-native modernization. He also plays a pivotal role in aligning engineering, product, and business strategy while serving as a mentor and sponsor for AlayaCare’s technical talent pipeline. His leadership ensures that extensibility, innovation, and customer-centric design remain central to the AlayaCare platform.
Jean-Francois (JF) Gailleur
Jean-Francois Gailleur brings more than 30 years of experience in the software industry, leading positions with fast-growing start-ups and large companies such as SAP, hybris, AppDirect, Elevate Security, and Radialpoint. He has held many different roles in positions such as software engineering, system architecture, product management, business strategy, CTO as well as leading many Development and Cloud Engineering teams in international environments.
JF holds an Engineering Degree in Computer Science and Robotics from Marseille Polytechnic University and an MBA from John Molson School of Business, Concordia University in Montreal. JF is a member of the Order of Engineers of Quebec. JF has two kids and enjoys outdoor sports.
Kaila Raimondo
Kaila Raimondo is the Market Leader for Home Infusion and Skilled Nursing at AlayaCare. With a background in solution engineering and customer success, she is committed to adapting healthcare technology to meet the unique needs of the home infusion market. Kaila supports organizations in implementing new technology and achieving better outcomes across the United States. Her dedication to utilizing innovative solutions positions her as a driving force in advancing healthcare technology and surpassing market expectations.
Naomi Goldapple
Naomi Goldapple leads a team of data scientists and engineers to leverage emerging technologies and build products that will drive present and future value for AlayaCare clients. Naomi is a seasoned data intelligence professional with experience leading innovation teams — specifically in the field of artificial intelligence and machine learning. Having worked in health tech and home care for the past six years, Naomi has become recognized as a thought leader on leveraging data for better decision making, creating operational efficiencies, with a goal to helping improve health outcomes for those who wish to recover and age in the place they call home.
Manuela Paoletta
Manuela Paoletta is the Senior Vice President of People & Culture at AlayaCare, where she leads the company’s people strategy and helps shape a culture rooted in inclusion, growth, and impact. A strategic and empathetic leader, Manuela champions initiatives that attract, develop, and retain top talent while fostering meaningful connection to AlayaCare’s people, purpose, and performance.
Outside of work, she finds joy in dancing and laughing with her two daughters, a reminder of the power of connection in all aspects of life.
Scott Overhill
Scott Overhill has more than 30 years of experience in the home and community care sector, with the majority in leadership roles with Procura and Complia Health. Trained in product management, product strategy alignment, project management, and business consulting, Scott was the primary architect of Complia Health’s Procura software. He also provided service and advice to enterprise customers in the U.S., Canada and Australia. Scott has an ability to develop the skill sets of exceptional individuals and create high-performing teams, leading them to deliver on projects that are on time and profitable.
Uros Stekovic
As AlayaCare’s CFO, Uros Stekovic brings over 20 years of experience in technology, with a proven track record of guiding SaaS organizations through rapid expansion and into profitability. In his role, he partners closely with the executive team to align financial and operational goals, ensuring sustainable growth and compliance. He oversees Finance, People & Culture, Legal, IT, Business Operations, and Business Intelligence, driving efficiency and long-term value creation. Passionate about developing talented and ambitious individuals, Uros fosters a culture of accountability, innovation, and operational excellence. He emphasizes data-driven decision-making to optimize performance and scalability. Before joining AlayaCare, Uros held leadership roles at Kroll, Resolver, D&H, SAP, and PwC. He is a Chartered Professional Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Toronto.
