AlayaCare in Australia: The Story Continues

Screen-Shot-2018-11-20-at-2.46.28-PM

In the southern hemisphere last week, AlayaCare’s Australian team hosted its second User Conference — an annual summit in multiple countries that explores the latest trends in home care technologies, gives agencies expert insight into getting the most out of our software, and is a fantastic time for networking with industry peers.

Better Outcomes Australia

The enthusiasm and buzz in Adelaide was phenomenal at our User Conference on November 20th. While AlayaCare is young and only now emerging into the mainstream, the Australian market has welcomed the possibilities our software brings. In short order, we’ve built a reputation for caring about the success of our clients, committing to any innovation that pushes the needle, and resolving any issue directly and quickly.

AlayaCare Better Outcomes Australia

User Conference Features Array of Experts, Partners

Attendees heard from a variety of guest speakers, each of whom possessed a unique lens on the future of our industry.

The keynote speaker was Jerome Barrientos, tech chief at Enrich Health Group, who keeps the long view in place when assessing the home care industry across Australia. He explored how their team is embedding AlayaCare into the foundation for their vision of a mobile health-care business. Enrich recognizes that in an evolving landscape, efficient and versatile mobile technology is vital to attract talented care workers to the team (key: scheduling) as well as deliver great client service (keys: remote patient monitoring, family portal). A cloud-based technology company like us, Enrich has earned over $3 million in annualized benefits after implementing AlayaCare’s software solution.

Another speaker, Drew Wesley from VHA Home Healthcare in Toronto — which serves over 100,000 clients a year and employes 2,700 staff — discussed Canada’s issue of a lack of personal support workers for home care as well as overcrowded hospitals and the need for greater home care bandwidth. Drew detailed how they are employing the AlayaCare platform to bolster efficiency by reducing scheduling time for office staff, while minimizing travel time and maximizing client time for PSWs (More on this great partnership here.)

This year, we proudly welcomed six sponsors — including some of Australia’s top specialized software companies — who can help improve day-to-day business and bolster return on investment for home care agencies:

Making our mark

On the heels of our User Conference success, we also brought our vibrant orange brand to the Information Technology in Aged Care conference at the Adelaide Convention Centre. We were thrilled to both exhibit and present at an event that explores the vital nature of assistive technology in delivering top service and helping clients live well independently.

And we couldn’t pass up the opportunity to attend Home Instead Senior Care’s Australia franchise show. A client of AlayaCare, we are thrilled that their platform went live on schedule and they are eager to realize the vast potential of software to streamline their operations. Home Instead Senior Care is one of the largest providers of home care in the world, with more than 1,000 franchises to date.

Next on the agenda in Australia is to finalize AlayaCare’s support for key funders: the Home Care Packages program, National Disability Insurance Scheme and the Department of Veterans’ Affairs.

The vision is taking hold, and we can’t wait to play our role in helping home care agencies throughout Australia deliver high-efficiency care — and, in turn, ensure their clients achieve ideal outcomes.
